I have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Carpentry Team Leader to be based in Norfolk.

To manage relevant departments successfully in line with company standards, communicating directions effectively. To construct and maintain the exterior and interior of boats to a high quality including the furnishings within the boat as directed by your Line Manager.
To support the Marina Manager in ensuring the effective smooth running and effective management of the site.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for relevant departments on the site including Boat Builders, Carpenters, Laminators and General Team Members;
• Assisting the Marina Manager, providing cover in his or her absence;
• To carry out planned and required work as instructed in line with Company standards;
• To ensure that legislative guidelines/regulations are rigorously followed with particular regard to Health & Safety.
• Ensures that all defects are reported to your Line Manager;
• Ensures that all equipment is in good working order and report to your Line Manager if this is not the case.

Duties
• To deliver a high quality of service to customers, team members, management;
• To work successfully within a Team and to co-ordinate instructions;
• To demonstrate trial runs;
• To perform section leader' duties;
• To monitor, evaluate and enhance employee performance through the provision of regular feedback and performance appraisal, setting objectives and training, coaching and development activities;
• To identify and rectify any repairs when required following approval;
• Consults with your Line Manager to determine necessary repairs;
• Directs his or her team in their duties;
• Supervises and coordinates work of his or her team;
• To maintain boats to the required high standard;
• To perform monitoring activities to ensure that boats comply with the regulations and standards;
• To ensure that all required administrative/paperwork activities are carried out to company requirements;
• To work using your own initiative and seek guidance when necessary;
• Other duties as required by the Group.
