Marine Resources are supporting a world renowned yacht builder in their search for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Working closely with Purchasing Department, QC team, Team Leaders/Production Leads, Stores, Dealer Support and E-Commerce Team, Supplier base, this role will be responsible for taking ownership of any issues with the overall quality standards of the good/products from the suppliers. 

MAIN DUTIES
  • Liaison with operations / QC on supplier related quality concerns
  • Investigating quality assurance concerns and establishing liability
  • Raise none conformance reports on suppliers and
  • Communication of issues with suppliers to ensure root cause analysis is being carried out using appropriate problem solving tools.
  • Liaise with suppliers where necessary to ensure the costs of none conforming goods are recovered from the suppliers.
  • Ensure that all SOH is segregate sorted and quarantine non-conforming product. None conforming parts t be returned to the suppliers at their cost.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board process, the steps in determining fitness-for-use, and product disposition
  • Support the Rework Approval / Concession / Change Notification processes
  • Investigating quality assurance concerns and establishing liability
  • Work with purchasing to validate first off parts on all new products
  • Support purchasing with supplier assessments and audits.
  • Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
  • Complying with and upholding Company policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as may be required from time to time.

KEY REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATION

Knowledge & Skills
-   Previous SQA experience within a manufacturing environment.
-   Ability to read engineering drawings.
-   Willingness to learn vital
-   Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
-   Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience
-   Previous experience as a SQA is essential role not necessary, but desirable.
-   Ideally an engineering background
