A leading consultancy, who pride themselves on putting their people first are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their busy team! Working across maritime and defence, the right individual for this role will have 2 - 4 years' experience or more in a similar position and will want to apply their knowledge to a new, varied and challenging environment.

With ambitious growth plan over the next year, you will join an energetic and experienced team, working to support and advising clients through in creation and realisation of new systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting with the design of Electrical Engineering systems for new marine platforms as well as legacy programmes and in service solutions
• Proving insight and knowledge integrating electrical systems and equipment within ships and marine platforms
• Supporting electrical engineering team within a range of technical consultancy projects primarily in the naval and government sectors
• Liaising with customers, providing a solution lead approach to complex issues
• Providing electrical insight into mechanical and marine engineering projects
• Development and training to hone your skillset to manage and deliver electrical projects

Key Experience
• Qualified in Electrical Engineering - HNC/HND/Foundation Degree or Degree in Electrical or Marine related subject
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role in the Maritime, Defence, Land or Environmental sectors
• Currently, or is working towards, an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer, or Engineering Technician professional status
• Experience in understanding customer needs and producing statements of work
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, reporting and presentation skills - ability to communicate at all levels in an organisation
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced staff
• Ability to receive and give feedback
• Flexibility and ability to be deployed on a range of projects and customer sites due to breadth of technical skills and knowledge
• Dedication to providing first-class service to our clients
• Please note - the successful candidates will need to hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Government security clearance at SC level.

The right individual for this role will be someone who begun their careers in pure electrical or integrated electrical engineering but want to develop their knowledge and experience. You will be tasked with working independently to deliver electrical engineering projects as well as supporting the department, all the while demonstrating engineering capabilities, methodologies and processes.
