Naval Architect

An opportunity for an experienced Naval Architect to join a well-established shipyard based in Hampshire!

Reporting to the Principle Naval Architect, working in accordance with the company policies and procedures, being part of a successful team aligning with the core values and being responsible for the technical aspects of the vessel, providing detailed designs on shipbuilding projects, working in areas of outfit, systems and structural design, general naval architecture duties, from inception through to trails and commissioning of the vessels.

Experience required:
• Degree qualified in an engineering subject - Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar.
• Shipyard or Production environment background – ideally
• Experience of working with aluminum vessels
• Experience working with Flag/Class rules
• Understanding of all elements of vessel design including outfit, systems and structures
• Able to complete studies independently as well as working in a team
• Software experience in Rhino and AutoCAD (or similar packages)
