Job title - Service Repair Technician (Repairing, upgrading, and remodelling PCB boards)

Work hours - 37.5 hours
There will be training but this role is quality as well as repairing electrical products and your skill set fits this role perfect
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the role is repairing electronic products (PCB boards) used for leisure and commercial applications as well as updating and upgrading them.
Repairs will be primarily workshop based and involve the triage, troubleshooting and repair of an extensive range of current & legacy products received from EMEA customer network. The role includes communicating directly with customers and working closely with the administration and technical support teams. Adherence to department, company, and Global Trade Compliance (GTC) processes and procedures is mandatory.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To ensure repairs undertaken are repaired and tested within the department KPIs to the highest standard possible and administered in accordance with department (SAP) & GTC procedures and policies.
  • To be able to undertake priority repairs as deemed necessary from the Technical Services Manager.
  • To undertake administration associated to service repairs & customer contact, using SAP & web-based applications.
  • To promptly recognize & report product defects not previously recorded or specifically monitored by the Product Liaison Group (PLG) & Engineering teams.
  • To ensure the role holder keeps up to date on current & new products, to provide an effective knowledge to assist with the repair and testing of products.
  • To maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace, reporting any safety/health hazards to the Technical Services Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
  • Electrical & Electronic experience to ONC level, or similar, or better.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Position demands a conscientious initiative-taking person, who can work methodically & carefully, and handle customer-owned products respectfully.
  • Ability to work unsupervised & work within an established team.
  • ability to prioritize own time & workload
  • PC literate to a proficient level, familiar with Microsoft-based applications.
  • Effective communication skills, in English verbally & written.
  • Troubleshooting experience & manually dexterous.
This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e., regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
