You will be working within the Membership & Services Team to provide guidance on environmental and health & safety issues. Supporting Member companies with enquiries and advice on rules, regulations and best practice within the scope of the environment and Health & Safety.
This long-established company is well recognised for making a difference in the Marine Industry and setting industry standards. They have over 1500 members from a range of marine businesses including boat building, chandlers, brokers, marinas, passenger boats and engines.
You will be working with a small team to enhance their environmental and health & safety understanding and be a key part in developing this critical part of the marine industry. You will be a team player, driven, excellent communicator, well organised and have good project management skills. Also a broad knowledge and understanding of environmental and health & safety rules and regulations and their implementation in the industry. This is a great opportunity to step into a company that will be affecting change across the UK leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• Environmental experience and understanding of the rules, regulations and their implementation in the industry
• Team player with personal drive and initiative
• Excellent communicator in writing and presentation
• Confident networker with the ability to cultivate positive relationships
• Well organised and good project management ability, meet targets and prioritise projects
• Marine background, understanding of the structure within the industry and the issue that impact upon it
• IT Literate and confident using Microsoft Office
Desirables:
• Health & safety experience and understanding of the rules, regulations and their implementation in the industry
• Understanding of the RYA Green Blue Initiative

• Full time, 34hrs a week 9am-5pm
