CAD Design Engineers!
Are you a graduate or early career professional seeking a new challenge?
A Portsmouth based company is looking to expand their team and are seeking ambitious, friendly and pro-active graduates! Joining the Engineering Team, the right individual will have a background in Mechanical Engineering or similar, as well as experience working on Solidworks 3D CAD. You will be expected to liaise across the departments and with suppliers, as well as creating models and assemblies to be used to generate detailed drawings. This is a great opportunity to join a leading company company with constant technology expansion and in the process of designing new production lines and processes.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Experience with SolidWorks
- An understanding of manufacturing processes, milling, turning, grinding, forging and welding.
- Run basic calculation spreadsheets for fitting designs.
- Flexible to take on other tasks such as liaise with suppliers, obtaining quotations, create and place purchase orders.
- Good Computer skills
- Have a structured approach to creating parts and building assemblies so that other users can easily dissect and modify if necessary
- Takes pride in presentation of drawings: consistent formatting, easy to read, thinks of the end user.
- Someone who can work in a team and on their own
