Exciting Opportunity for a Buyer - Award-Winning Superyacht Tender Company

Marine Resources is thrilled to represent a distinguished superyacht tender company on the South Coast, celebrated for their exceptional standards. As the business continues to flourish, they are actively seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Buyer. Our client is an award-winning superyacht tender company known for setting the benchmark in the industry. Position: Buyer 
As a crucial member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement process, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. This dynamic position involves engaging with international suppliers and collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and expedite stock purchase orders, meticulously reviewing and processing acknowledgements.
  • Issue custom and free text purchase orders for projects, collaborating with the Design Department for technical insights from complex Bills of Materials.
  • Effectively communicate with international suppliers via phone and email to coordinate delivery dates and manage orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts and pricing updates on Sage 200.
  • Resolve invoice queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Create new part numbers in the system to streamline processes.
  • Work closely with internal departments, providing updates on any delays or challenges with suppliers.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager in researching suppliers and obtaining quotations.
  • Facilitate the import/export process of orders from Europe/ROW, liaising with shipping agents and completing necessary documentation.
  • Complete applications for product warranties and manage the return of goods, collaborating with the stores team and suppliers to ensure a smooth process.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Background in buying/procurement/purchasing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with international suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in using Sage 200 or similar systems.
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
