Interior Stylist

Our client is seeking a talented Design Consultant to join their team on a fixed-term basis to provide exemplary client-facing services to our client's distributor network and their customers. This role will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless execution of styling elements across various projects, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Contract Duration: Fixed term for 14 months

Key Responsibilities:
Styling Expertise: Take ownership of styling elements, including soft furnishings, furniture, decorative lighting, and key finishes, ensuring each project meets the highest standards of design excellence.
Client Support: Offer invaluable support to our client's distributor network, assisting with inquiries, re-specifications, presentations, sampling, and general advice on design matters. Provide comprehensive specification services for boats under 70ft at a daily fee.
Collaboration with Sales: Collaborate closely with our client's sales department to develop colour schemes for boats in production, delivering design presentations, sampling, and costing under a fixed design fee agreement.
Team Assistance: Support the studio team with various tasks such as hosting suppliers, maintaining the sample library, completing client presentations, and sourcing new suppliers and products.
Creative Development: Assist the Creative Development team in specifying new boat launches and providing general support as required.
Client Meetings: Attend client meetings alongside team members to offer seamless support and gain a comprehensive understanding of client-facing design briefs and specifications.
Documentation Management: Maintain and update studio documents in line with development changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Sampling and Production: Assist in the preparation and dispatch of client sampling packs and the production of design scheme sample boards.
Market Awareness: Stay informed about product trends and market developments to ensure our client remains a design leader in the industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Interior Design Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of the interior design market and its products.
Styling Experience: Prior experience in styling is preferred, showcasing an eye for detail and design aesthetics.
Clarity of Expression: Ability to convey information and ideas clearly, ensuring effective communication within the team and with clients.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in InDesign is essential, while knowledge of CAD and Photoshop is advantageous.
