The role:
This is a key role within the team, managing and supporting the operational process of the company and maintaining a high service levels to our global customer base.
Working together with our Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of products from a global supplier base and out to a global customer base.
You'll manage the warehouse team, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and shipped appropriately.


Skills and Experience:

-Technical and IT skills - database management and spreadsheets.
-Experience of Sage software a key advantage.


Duties:

-Liaise with sales team, suppliers and couriers to plan, co-ordinate and execute the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
-Prompt delivery on time and in full of all customer orders.
-Lead and manage warehouse team including workflow, shipping priorities and stock build.
-Recruitment of new warehouse team members.
-Maintain sufficient stock of consumables, product components and finished products to meet customer demand in both UK and USA facilities.
-Overall responsibility for safe and efficient running warehouse premises - security, safety, cleanliness, repairs etc.
-Optimise usage of warehouse space with rolling programme of stock clearance of slow/obsolete lines.
-Management and selection of freight providers for global shipping both inbound and outbound.
-Create, lead and deliver a rolling cost-down programme with agreed target cost savings (% or £) for each department under your control.
-Ahead of monthly management meeting, produce monthly reports on stock performance (stock turn, value vs sales etc) for each product line with objective to maximise return on cash invested in stock.
-Detailed monthly new product (>12 months) performance report: sales vs target, total units per month etc.


The other details:

The role is based at our UK office near Exeter.
Working hours Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm.
Clean driving license required.
