Premier Marinas owns and operates nine leading South Coast marinas and is seeking to recruit an experienced commercial manager for Swanwick Marina. With over 5,000 berths combined, Premier Marinas strives to be the finest marina operator in the UK, providing first class boat storage services and quality boatyard facilities at all its marinas. Swanwick Marina is located on the River Hamble and with phase 2 of the marina reconfiguration and renewal being undertaken in the forthcoming months this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

The Marina Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the marina. Responsibilities include financial performance, marina and dry stack occupancy, berth utilisation and boatyard operation plus the maintenance of onsite facilities, plant and equipment.

Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively and to delegate appropriately; have experience in H&S and be able to demonstrate compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The team at Swanwick Marina are committed to providing its berth holders and tenants with the highest standards of customer care, as such this full time position will require some weekend working to support this ethos.

The management of the Swanwick team is key to the success of the marina and candidates must have a proven track record of coaching and mentoring to improve performance. Experience of developing, motivating and empowering a team to deliver outstanding levels of customer service is vital for this role.

Experience

Essential:
•A minimum of 3 years' experience of managing and leading a team within the leisure sector
•Proven leadership skills
•Evidence of having increased the profitability of revenue lines

Desirable:
•Experience of managing multiple marinas or facilities
