Civil Project Engineer

Role Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing the projects to life, from concept to installation. Your responsibilities will include transforming concept layouts into manufacturable designs, overseeing fabrication, managing installations, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects. Your expertise in steel structures and proficiency in CAD/Solidworks software will be crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes. Additionally, your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members will be essential.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize AutoCAD software to produce structural fabrication drawings with precision and efficiency.
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct site surveys using surveying equipment such as Total stations, GPS, and levelling equipment. Strong attention to detail is important.
  • Collaborate with various contractors to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless execution.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, including resource allocation, risk management, and problem-solving.
  • Travel to project sites abroad and to our head office in Ireland as required.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of post-graduate practical site experience in construction, with a focus on steel structures. Marine experience is desired but other civil sectors are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience in producing structural fabrication drawings.
  • Experience with Solidworks software is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel; experience with Project software is an advantage.
