Interior Fitout Project Manager

Our client is looking for an Interior Fitout Project Manager to work on an incredibly exciting project! Looking for an experienced PM who has worked on multiple superyacht projects bringing the client's plans and dreams to life!

A permanent position working with a well-established company, that has been running for over 40 years. The company invests in their staff and back into the company, investing in the best technology to create the most stunning interiors!
For this position experience with marine is required, so that you can hit the ground running. Coming from an interior design or hands-on project management background you will have experience working with designers, carpenters, clients, shipyards, and suppliers. You will have oversight on the full project, managing budgets, timelines, quality, and contracts making sure all adhere to the clearly set out project plan.
This project will see your project managing the interior fit out of the owner's living space, spa and crew quarters, spanning 3 decks. Creating high-end interiors for one of the largest vessels of its kind.

Goal: To establish and successfully co-ordinate and manage the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with all involved within the project to ensure that all interiors are created in line with the client's specifications, attention to detail and quality is paramount.
  • Assess drawing packages throughout the build process and complete other administration system tasks keeping records up to date.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and their representatives, providing regular updates on project advancement and addressing issues promptly.
  • Working closely with all parties, to create clear project plans. Continually monitor quality, safety, and progress. Taking all necessary steps to ensure the completion date is met.
  • Establish clear targets, reporting processes and procedures so that all reporting functions are working to consistent standards. Develop, maintain and measure staff performance against these targets.
  • Ensure that all those engaged on site have up-to-date information and adhere to the project plan.
  • Create a project budget and ensure the project is delivered within that budget. Monitoring the financial performance of the project using the Cost Value Report and taking all necessary steps to minimise costs.
  • Efficiently manage project resources including personnel, labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Undertake any other duties within your sphere of knowledge, experience or competency as requested.
This role will include travel to our client's manufacturing site to work closely with design and shop floor as well as travel to the shipyard and suppliers in Europe. Up to a couple of weeks at a time. An ability to be flexible and travel for long periods is required for this role. All expenses will be covered for travel and remote working for the remainder of the time is available.
