Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager!
Are you passionate about promoting a culture of safety and well-being? Do you excel at ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations? We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager for our boat building client to champion environmental, health, and safety initiatives across our locations.

Position Summary: As our EHS Manager, you'll be instrumental in fostering awareness and best practices in health and safety. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee compliance with all relevant legislation, conduct training sessions, and lead safety inspections. Your role will be crucial in driving continuous improvement in our workplace safety standards.

Key Working Relationships: You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders including the Head of HR, Operations Director, and Facilities Management to implement effective EHS strategies company-wide.

Main Duties:
  • Chair regular EHS site meetings and monitor action plans.
  • Lead accident investigations and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as HSE and EA, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend necessary adaptations to enhance safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and reporting regimes for EHS statistics.
  • Drive cultural change initiatives to promote a safer work environment.
  • Develop and implement waste management policies in line with EHS requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a multi-site operation.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent certification preferred.
