Working for a leading supplier of high quality fully integrated marine solutions Marine Transportation, Marina Management and Design & Build.

The company offers marina management in parallel with luxury passenger ferry, watersports and robust chandlery and charter services. This solution provides their clients an integrated solution to managing resorts and destination marinas where developers often need greater control over the marina ecosystem to realize the greatest returns.

Through a series of procedures, rider agreements, best practices and the provision of stakeholder services centralized support services centralized within the marina management offices, this market leading organisation leverages synergies that expand the capabilities of stakeholders, reduce overheads and increase the capacity of marina management to strengthen quality across the board. They call this concept Marina Multiservice Integration and is a form of the ISO IMS framework.

Due to continuing development, they are seeking an experienced and professional Marine Maintenance Manager.

The ideal person will have international or national ferry experience combined with the operational and practical experience of managing all types of marine engines, waterjets, AC systems and generators, and all ancillary electronic equipment (navigation and communication) for catamaran and monohull vessels in GRP and aluminium.

Key responsibilities include: generating and delivering PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules for all vessels, ensuring adequate stocks of spares and consumables, and managing the daily work flow of the engineering and maintenance team.

This person must be capable of operating independently, training staff, and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards at all time. In addition they must be analytical, process-oriented and capable of using systems to effectively manage day-to-day operations.

Suitable qualifications: engineering background or certificates, preferable qualifications training on the following engines: Volvo (D13s), Caterpillar (C12s), MAN (V8 1200s), Scania (D16s), MTU, Yamaha outboards (150hp - 300hp) and Ilmor V8 petrol inboards; and the following waterjets: Hamilton (HJ364) and Doen.

The fleet consists of: eight high speed ferries, 12 speed boats (including towed watersports and parasailing tow boats), four 50ft aluminium vessels, a supply vessel and a 70ft motor yacht.

This individual will be client facing and will run a team of engineers there all from different countries and backgrounds. The successful applicant will run the maintenance department including planning all scheduled maintenance, sourcing spare parts managing the team of engineers autonomously.

In order to excel in this role you will have the charisma, gravitas and operational skills, experience and ability; as well as the technical and mechanical skills and experience required.

Location: Maldives

Salary: 4000 USD per month

Relocation support will be available.
