One of the best in their space with an enviable reputation and having been in existence for over 40-years, this client is looking for someone to join a well- established, successful technical sales team.

Based out of their Ferndown head office, this is an exciting technical sales role providing direct customer support working within the sales team and with the Design and Manufacturing teams. The role would suit an enthusiastic, structured individual with experience in sales and with a technical background.

This team works closely together and has a track record of success working with the UK and overseas recreational and commercial boatbuilders and refit yards, with its network of distributors and dealers, and the vessel operators.

Our client is focused on providing technical equipment and services and with in-house design and manufacture, plus the distribution of a range of high-quality brands, offers the most advanced products available.
 
The ideal candidate will have a technical sales background and be able to come up with solutions quickly and efficiently for clients scoping out projects and working with them to achieve the stated aims. With travel to clients and project sites an essential element of the role (both UK and Europe) a hybrid working pattern is established, although the ability to easily get to HQ in Dorset close to Bournemouth/Poole is necessary.

Key Objectives
  • Develop existing accounts and identify new prospect accounts
  • Support customers from initial technical discussions and quotation to supply and installation
  • Provide technical and commercial support to the distributor and dealer network
  • Provide outstanding customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Attend exhibitions and events

Skills
  • Experienced with a successful business development background
  • Marine market knowledge
  • The ability to effectively promote and negotiate
  • Technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and plan to meet deadlines to achieve required targets
  • Computer literacy including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Team player
