Our client is very well established in the marine industry, who’s expertise in marine electronics traces back to the early 1900’s. They have dedicated themselves to making spending time on the water as easy and as stress-free as possible, designing and manufacturing innovative and reliable products of the highest quality.

To fulfil this role you need to work well under pressure and manager your work load effectively whilst maintaining a professional and friendly manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for coordinating inbound & outbound shipments to/from the service repair workshop including warranty/non-warranty service repairs & RMA defective product warranty returns.
  • Inbound operations include booking-on & receiving of defective products into the service repair CRO and RMA warranty administration system using the Customer Portal & SAP applications.
  • Material management operations include ordering new stock & maintain safety stock levels, maintaining accuracy of workshop inventory stock with periodic stock-counting, stock inventory location organization, procurement of stock with contacting other manufacturing sites and vendors.
  • Supporting Logistics Material Controller/Planner.
  • Supporting Service Repair & Warranty administration, as required.
  • On occasion, will be requested to undertake low-level-entry repairs when required and requested by the Technical Services Manager (appropriate training will be provided).
  • To ensure the role holder keeps up to date on current & new products, to provide adequate product knowledge to support service repair administrative tasks.
  • To administer 5S workplace organization audit & reporting.
  • To maintain department product asset register.
  • To maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace, reporting any safety/health hazards to the Technical Services Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Position demands a conscientious initiative-taking person, who can work methodically & carefully, and handle customer-owned products respectfully.
  • Ability to work unsupervised & work within an established team.
  • Ability to prioritize own time & workload.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • PC literate to a proficient level, familiar with Microsoft-based applications.
  • SAP knowledge will benefit but not essential.
  • Effective communication skills, in English verbally & written.
  • Manually dexterous.
