Joinery Design Engineer - Southampton!
One of the UKs' foremost boatbuilders working within the Superyacht Industry is currently looking to add a Joinery Design Engineer.
The design office needs to expand to cope with the ongoing demand of the loyal customer base, famed for building a very high quality product, this top flight employer is seeking someone with the drive and ambitious to work to the highest standards at all times!
Slotting in with the Interior design department alongside other design engineers, you'll be working on a host of joinery related projects, engineering solutions for fit and finish and then producing completed technical drawings to pass to production to turn to a reality.
Showing a keen eye for detail, you'll be able to confidently model in 3D, and draft in 2D, working as part of a team, but able to also multi-task alone on certain projects. You'll be confident dealing with both design and production queries and use an analytical mind to troubleshoot as well.
In terms of background, you'll be educated in a design related degree and have worked with either high end marine or residential furniture, understanding how it will behave when fitted in a moving product.
This opportunity could also see the right individual working on more conceptual interior design work as the company requires.
