Production Design Engineer
A south coast based client is looking to expanding their team and are looking for a driven, organised and technical minded Production Design Engineer. The role will see you working as a part of a small design team liaising closely with the shop floor to produce award winning bespoke sailing yachts!
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
The right individual will already have marine industry experience or a passion for the industry. Along with this, you will have the recognition of and understanding of the luxury goods, luxury yacht market and client base from a practical perspective. This role would be suited to someone who has completed a degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Design, Naval Architecture or Product Design Degree, which has been applied to the marine industry!
In exchange you will work alongside a strong design team with the opportunity to work on the elegant and world renowned design for a bespoke sailing yacht builder.

Design Engineer

- Producing and amending detailed 2D drawings for production
- Generating accurate 3D models
- Problem solving
- Creation and management of Bill of Materials
- Working with the NSO department, shop floor and other relevant departments to ensure quality standards
- A positive attitude, organised and methodically mentality
- Materials & Structural understanding is vital to the role
- Confident using AutoCAD, Solidworks and MS Office
