Our client is a rapidly growing organization aiming to be the benchmark in the inland waterways market, providing premier services to their clients. They are a key player in the marine industry, operating 250-berth marina (growing to 550) spanning 80 acres. As part of a 10-year project, they are committed to becoming the best in the industry, boasting top-of-the-range equipment and a senior management team with extensive experience in the marine services sector. To ensure fast growth and success we are looking for a Head of Boat Yard Operations  

This is a senior position within the organisation and comes with full P&L responsibility. As the Head of Boat Yard, you will be responsible for leading the team across the entire boat yard operations arena.  Your primary focus will include enquiries, pricing, scheduling, suppliers, staffing and overseeing the repair & refit works ensuring a premier service for our clients.  

Alongside that we are looking for someone with drive, flair and tenacity in order to help grow and develop the project to become THE “go to” yard for the Inlands waterway clientele for the UK.  

Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead and manage a team of boat yard professionals, overseeing day-to-day operations. 
  • Act as the liaison and representative for boat yard operations in client interactions. 
  • Evaluate, price, and schedule boat repairs, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. 
  • Manage relationships and day-to-day interactions with suppliers. 
  • Implement and manage scheduling processes for boat repairs. 
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic decisions related to boat yard operations. 
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
