A Business Development Manager is now required for a growing successful UK based marine business which manufactures bespoke lighting solutions, supplying the global superyacht and leisure marine market. The ideal candidate is an experienced BDM who is driven, committed and willing to explore new business opportunities with existing and new accounts for new products the business plans to add to their range. This is a global role and will require significant travel to visit Distributors and OEMS as well as attendance at International Boat Shows.
This role can be managed remotely from home.
The Business Development Manager will need to build strong internal relationships with Product Development and Sales Teams.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will concentrate on growth and opportunity through allocated Distributors and OEMS within the Superyacht (25%) and Leisure Marine market (75%)
The successful candidate will be measured on their ability to Increase sales via pro-active selling and mentoring of both the Distributors and OEMS, maximising brand promotion and exposure of the full product range.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the BDM will develop a quarterly and annual strategy, growth and business plans.
Essential
Proven Sales Track Record; examples of Account management and new business development
Technical understanding and experience
Strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise a busy work load.
Able to offer effective sales presentations (both presenting and compiling of proposition)
Ability to commit to and organise own travel and work remotely
Preferable
Manufacturing environment/experience
Degree Educated (plus) in Sales and Marketing
Languages an advantage, especially Italian
Marine experience
Salary - Competitive remuneration with generous bonus structure
Location - UK/remote/frequent travel
