SEA-KIT is a leading Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) designer and developer, focused on over-the-horizon deployment of various maritime systems and sensors. Our USVs have applications across various sectors including maritime logistics, environmental management and the security and monitoring of offshore assets. SEA-KIT is looking for a skilled and motivated Naval Architect / Project Manager to manage design, build and class approval.

Reporting directly to the CEO you will be directly responsible for:
• Project management of design and build ensuring that it is delivered to the client's specifications, on time and within budget
• Management of various sub-contractors and other stakeholders
• Liaising directly with the classification societies to ensure that the vessel is designed and built in accordance to the class rules
• Developing and maintaining the project schedule and ensuring that it is communicated with the relevant stakeholders
• Co-ordinating with suppliers and the procurement team to ensure items are delivered on time
• Tracking the costs of the various elements of the design and build in accordance with company accounting principles
• Perform weight and stability analysis throughout the vessel design
• Oversee all relevant calculations
• Attending and witnessing surveys for classification requirements


Knowledge/Skills:
• Minimum 5 years project management and ship design experience including hydrostatic & structural design on alloy and composite vessels up to 24 meters
• Previous experience working as team lead from initial vessel design, vessel build and fitout, through to commissioning and vessel delivery
• Project management certification such as PMP is a plus
• Experience with creating cost estimates and managing vessel build budgets
• Ability to perform technical calculations and investigations
• An understanding of electrical system drawings and fluid and mechanical systems
• You will have a strong proven track record managing vessel build in accordance with class regulations (specifically Lloyds register SSC)
• Experience with Lloyds SSC software would be beneficial
• Experience in Hydrodynamic analysis, Maxsurf resistance or similar software
• Use of Rhino, Solidworks, AutoCad and Microsoft Office
• Have the ability to handle various challenges and deadlines simultaneously
• You must have the ability to work independently and also contribute as an effective and positive member of the SEA-KIT team
• You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable leading and facilitating stakeholder meetings
